I've been fiddling around a bit with the Army Builder software, editing my 1000-point list for Orcs and Goblins. I may redo my Skaven list as well. I need to squeeze a magic user into the army, probably a Warlock Engineer. I'm trying to come up with two relatively well-matched opposing armies, so that I have some sort of goal to work toward with the Orcs and Goblins.

Hobbytown put a lot of their stale stock on sale, including some Warhammer figures that have been on the shelves for at least as long as I've been a customer there. Last week I picked up a box of Golgfag's Mercenary Ogres at 75% off. With a name like Golgfag you've got to be tough. If they're still there in a few weeks I will probably pick up a unit of Savage Orcs. They're pretty pricey at the regular price, but at 50% off I can build a full unit for the price of one box. We'll see how the spending money shakes out.

I spent the last few days in World of Warcraft farming an Azure Whelpling as a gift for my wife. Each of the four whelp pets has a 1 in 1000 chance to drop, and I think I killed about 1000 for this one. The one I farmed for myself dropped after 8 kills. I have two of the four whelps available from world drops, I still need to get the Emerald Whelpling (a real bear to get) and the Dark Whelpling.

I don't really have anything to post about, as I haven't been doing much in the way of hobbies lately. Once I get back from some military training I've got to do I'll be looking for a second job, so I probably won't have much time for anything extracurricular for the next few months. Hopefully we'll be able to get everything paid off around the time the baby gets here, or at least be close enough that we can live on my full-time job. Then I'll probably be able to go back to school at least part-time. Nothing like making up for the mistakes of your early 20s, eh?

I probably won't be posting much on the blog until things settle down. I haven't found myself with much to talk about lately and I don't anticipate that changing a whole lot in the near future.

April was a pretty slow month for posting, and I expect May will be more of the same. There just really isn't much to post about. I haven't had any motivation for painting lately, so all the minis and tools are in bins in the closet right now. All the drama on The Miniatures Page recently has kept me away this month as well.

I don't have any new miniature purchases to talk about either. We would like to upgrade from the trailer to a house at some point in the next couple of years and we're trying to save up and pay off bills so that can be a possibility. It's going slowly, but we're getting there.

Most of my fun time has been taken up with World of Warcraft, as at $15 per month of playing time it works out to be a pretty cheap source of entertainment. I'm still working on my PvP gear set and a few other items.

The baby still seems to be doing fine. My wife has flip-flopped a couple of times deciding whther she wants to know the gender before it's born. I think she is probably going to find out early, which is not what I'd choose but it seems that I lost my veto power somewhere in the fine print of the marriage contract. I have to content myself with a guerrilla campaign of coming up with the worst baby names possible to suggest for the kid.

That's really about it. Life just isn't all that exciting right now. I suppse if something happens I'll post about it.
